The year 2009 marks the bicentennial of the birthday of Abraham Lincoln, the 16^th president of the United States. In acknowledgment of this historical benchmark, the Hollis Historical Society will be presenting Steve Wood who will portray President Lincoln and share stories of his life and political career.

150^th Anniversary of the Engine House:
We're planning a major celebration in honor of the 150th Anniversary of the "Always Ready Engine House", Hollis' first Firehouse, Police Station and general meeting building.
Plans are underway with the Hollis Fire and Police departments for a great! more news later.
